A Relationship Therapist Writes That Friendships Are Not About Taking And Never Giving.
Friendships Are Not About Taking And Never Giving.
True friendship is about giving and sharing — not taking and never giving.
True friendship is not about using someone to get what they might give you.
True friendship is about reciprocity, and being proactive about keeping the relationship alive.
True friendship is about honesty, and saying what needs to be said.
True friendship is about love and an understanding — even in the silences.
True friendship is taking the time to ask those around you whether they are okay and then being fully prepared to really listen to what they have to say.
But if you don’t have friends like this — become one.
It’s easy enough.
You just have to care.
