Have you got a “Deactivate Box”?

This is so you can write on a card or strip of paper the thoughts that you wish to deactivate, the thoughts that seem to emerge from nowhere, that go round and round in your head — creating anxiety and stress.

Start writing these thoughts down, and pop them into the box.

Once the box is full, burn or throw out the slips of paper, and start again — until the thoughts stop coming.

It’s amazing how powerful this ritual actually is — especially when you realise how quickly the box can fill up, due to all the many negative thoughts swirling around.

Sigh…!
