Money Matters: “When poverty comes in at the door, love flies out of the window.”

Money is always an important factor within any relationship. And during relationship therapy it gets dealt with accordingly. This is because money issues are often mirrored within the dynamics of a relationship and as a result, when money becomes an issue — it can also mean that the relationship may need help.

Indeed, you will most probably have heard this truth uttered many times over: “When poverty comes in at the door, love flies out of the window.” This is why it is important for every couple to stay on top of their financial affairs.

Also, financial or money issues normally create a bridge into a client’s job, career or business life — whether they work for someone, whether they work for themselves, or whether they own a business, and so on. These scenarios are often worth addressing along with a couple’s expectations with regards their personal careers, their ambitions, their success or failure, along with their spending habits, ownership of property, savings, budgeting and so on.

Often the amount of money a client or couple earns or indeed, wants to earn, usually has to be addressed as well. This is because, sometimes childhood or family issues can cause negative paradigms, and this can get in the way of career…
