Our Brains Can Keep Us In Victim Mode: Watch Out For This.
Our Brains Can Keep Us In Victim Mode: Watch Out For This.
Our thoughts and reasoning can whirr around finding excuses so as not to face what we need to learn in order to grow.
And when people look for excuses not to learn, they tend to start blaming everything around them: their upbringing, their school, their teachers, their college or university, the lecturers or professors, their jobs, their career path, their partners, the system, politicians — and the list can go on and on. Doing this only reinforces a belief that it’s not their fault, but someone else’s.
And there are many who think this way, instead of taking responsibility for their own choices or finding ways via the many methods available to improve and learn how to make better choices to suit their life goals.
So watch your thoughts as they can literally shunt you off your growth path, and you can very quickly find yourself looking for excuses. This is because the brain is essentially lazy. It needs to be trained and told — to sit. Otherwise it will run rings around you and you’ll wonder why, life isn’t working for you.
