We Are All Participating In The Process Of Sifting And Selecting The Life We Wish To Lead.
So, you’re unhappy with the result of the vote. Remember too, that many countries have had elections this year and many more are just as unhappy with the results they got. Or maybe you, along with others, are happy. I was certainly happy when the South African government formed a coalition proving that when things appear dire, positive change can happen. I grew up there and was delighted with the turn around. It reminded me that sometimes we win and other times we lose. The ripple effects can indeed be shocking or not. But it was ever thus.
However, this brings me to a reality — that we live in a world where choices get made every second and every minute of every day. In fact, we are now all part of a wonderful process of sifting and selecting — selecting what we like, what we want versus what we don’t like or we don’t want. And we are all participating in this process.
This includes who we marry, who we want as friends, whether we want children, how we want to dress, what we want to eat, what jobs we do, what we do on the weekends, where we take our holidays and even how much money we wish to earn. It even includes how we wish to run each day. We choose to either be miserable and unhappy or we can choose to be happy. We can engage in conversation with a hello, a compliment or a smile or we can just walk on by.
